Hannover 96 has a new boss: Jonas Boldt, former HSV chief, takes over sporting responsibility and becomes CEO. The agreement was reached after Jörg Schmadtke left the club.

Jonas Boldt was with Hamburger SV for five years until 2024 and was responsible for the club's sporting direction as sports director.

Why was Boldt chosen?

The decision to appoint Boldt was made on Tuesday during a meeting of the Hannover 96 management company. Representatives of the parent club and the professional department unanimously supported the personnel decision.
